Personal Academic Support at Sechenov: Where International Students Turn
Moving abroad for a six-year medical degree raises many practical and academic questions, and knowing who answers which one saves a great deal of time. Personal academic support at Sechenov is organized so that students in the Leaders in Health Innovations program do not have to work everything out alone. Here is a map of the main points of contact, prepared for students from Nigeria and other countries.

Before you arrive: the admissions office
Questions about documents, entrance tests and enrollment belong with the admissions office. It can be reached at +7 (495) 622-98-20, with the university call center available at +7 (495) 609-14-00. The office address is 119048, Moscow, 8 Trubetskaya Street, Building 2. The general rules for the current cycle are published on the 2026 admission campaign page: https://www.sechenov.ru/admissions/priemnaya-kampaniya-2026/.
Entering Russia: the welcome site
Visas, registration and other entry matters are handled separately from academic admission. Sechenov’s welcome site explains the rules for entering the country at https://welcome.sechenov.ru/en/migration-support/. Read it early and return to it whenever your plans change.
During your studies: your curator
Once enrolled, the first person to turn to is your curator. Curator support is part of the program terms, and its purpose is individual guidance: helping you plan your development track, choose extra activities and keep academic progress on course. Small group classes also make it easier to raise a difficulty early rather than at exam time.
Mentors and faculty
For deeper academic questions, students work directly with leading faculty and mentors. This includes supervision of research projects and guidance on professional skills. Direct contact with senior teachers is one of the features that distinguishes the program from the standard General Medicine track.
The program team
Anything specific to Leaders in Health Innovations, from the leadership track to what the first-year fee of 1,500,000 rubles covers, can be raised with the program team by e-mail. Writing suits questions that need a considered answer, and it lets you keep the reply for later reference. Mention your name, your country and the program name so the message reaches the right person.
